Hey, what’s going on with you, and may it be well with your soul!
Spiritual formation is important for our souls and our minds and our bodies. And spiritual formation can come in many different forms, you need to find things that work for you and help feed your faith and your soul. Something I used to do a fair amount of before I entered seminary was create music. For the most part I mixed music loops to create complete songs, but never with any lyrics. I have missed doing this, and would also like to try my hand at working on some hymns. There are some existing hymns I have ideas for additional lyrics for, some public domain tunes that I have entire new lyric ideas to pair with (especially for some theological ideas and various Scripture passages that are under represented in most hymnals), and I would very much like to explore some continuing education opportunies about writing worship music and hymns in 2024.
