Beginning on Sunday, August 13, 2023, I was voted in as a member of the Heritage District Vibrancy Team. One of the primary purposes of this team is to take the lead on helping the local churches in the Heritage District of the Michigan Area of the United Methodist Church. Additional duties include leading book studies on various texts that offer ideas and guidance on working towards more vibrant churches and faith communities. This team also works to coordinate, lead, and facilitate local church assessment training and local church assessment work. In November of 2023, our committee went to the Level Up conference in Pennsylvania to learn from and connect with other church leaders looking to grow and become more vital in their local communities.
